Have you been injured attending a sporting or other event?

Have you been injured attending a sporting or other event? If so, you may be entitled to compensation. In one of our cases, a 4-year-old girl sustained injuries, including permanent hearing loss, when a horse fell on her at a country show jumping event. During the event the horse is said to have come within a short distance to the child, and it is alleged that rider did not maintain control  of the horse.

Wearing out: Injuries in the Underground – Coal Mining

Recently Whitelaw McDonald acted on behalf of a coal miner with 39 years underground experience. Although our client retired without having made a claim nor retiring on medical grounds, proceedings were commenced against Coal Mines Insurance on the basis of injuries of “attrition” or “wearing out” from the very nature and the conditions of his work.

Coal mining brain injury – successful claim

Whitelaw McDonald successfully completed a workers compensation claim against Coal Mines Insurance for injuries sustained by a coal miner in his journey home from work. Our client was riding his motorcycle when an accident occurred causing him to fall from his motorcycle, suffering injuries.
